Pre-season
April 29- May 3, 2019
4:00-6:00 p.m.
Crestwood High School Band Room
Pre-season week is the first step to joining the marching knights. Students will learn what it means to be apart of the organization. Students will be taught the fundamentals of marching, maneuvering, and performing. Please complete the application packet prior to pre-season camp.
Instruments
Please bring your own instrument to all camps. Only french horn, baritone, and tuba players will be given school owned instruments.
Colorguard
This is your opportunity to learn all dances, and flag routines. This is NOT the audition. The pre-season is to prepare you for the audition in May.
Percussion
All percussionist are expected to have mallets, sticks, and drum straps. These items may be available for the first day of pre-season ONLY. You will be taught all cadences, styles, and techniques needed for your audition in May. There will be NO auditions taking place during pre-season.
Spring Camp 2019
May 20-23, 2019
4:00-6:00 p.m.
Crestwood High School Band Room
All spring camp practices are mandatory. This camp allows us to get an idea of what the future marching knights will be. Drum Major, Drumline, and Color Guard auditions will take place MAY 24, 2019.
Requirements
Students are required to wear sneakers, socks, gym shorts and a white t-shirt. Students must also drink plenty of water, eat before practice, and refrain from drinking sodas.
